Lesson at Bethany Community Center

What happened today or this week that made you love Jesus more?
Let me tell you my answer.
 
I get up every morning in a warm bed with a roof over my head. Many that I have come to know and work with-don’t. They sleep outside in tents or a box trying to stay warm with candles. Last week one of these men died from a fire in his box. His friends helped get him out and they were burned too.

They were in the thrift store last week to get some new clothes, coats, gloves and hats; theirs had burned trying to help their friend.
 

Birthday Party for Jesus

As I sit down and write this newsletter for another new year, I’m amazed that another year has come and gone. They go so quickly now! In Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” I am convinced, I know, that when you finally decide to die to self and follow Christ, your days, months, and years are His; and what peace and joy you find in Him! His plans are your plans, your passions are His passion and they give you hope and joy. Our time here is fleeting.
