Meeting Needs

Thanksgiving distribution....

This ministry has had many opportunities to help feed the hungry and help in emergency situations. We partnered with Elaine Odum (a student in our youth program at church) to help feed 500 families at Thanksgiving. She was challenged at a youth conference to do something "big" that only God could do through her. What an amazing job she did and we were able to encourage and go along side her! Over the last l5 years, God has brought many opportunities to help our families at Bethany and in our community of Good News Clubs. When there is a need, no food in the house, we go shopping for the family, or we might pick up a family member and take them shopping! We have provided tubs of food for Thanksgiving and Christmas distribution. I have partnered and worked with Cross Lines (http://cross-lines.org/) for 5 years. Cross Lines is an outreach to the community helping the poor and homeless. Working with Cross Lines, I have been able to train and learn many things that help me do a better job with the families and children God puts in our "territory". We are always collecting good used clothing and household items to share with our families. Any donations are appreciated and shared with our women and children after their classes each week.
